Tol, according to the olds here, historically this is not really a military reservation because this land has been donated by a philanthropist millionaire who is a native from Tarlac and solely for the purpose of housing for the military and their families because most of them came from far flung provinces, like my father-in-law, he came from Isabela and was relocated here.

Yes, it was already awarded and that’s the irony, they are taking it back because it’s one promising resources where the government can extract funds for the coming 2012 election. They plan to sell these land to wealthy commercial investors. Yes, we filed a case last year which hold them from crashing our homes because the court issued a restraining order. Actually this is composed of adjacent barrios and they successfully retracted the lands and houses of some barrios like what Bhang narrated in her comment above. The problem with them is that, they never had the chance to bring out the matter to media to sensationalized the issue. But this time, residents are taking effort to fight for our homes and even the soldiers here are willing to fight and use their guns if worst comes to worst and that’s the dreadful part because we may lose many innocent lives…

tol, i am not familiar with legal issues pertaining to these “military reservations”.

pero why this MOA ehn you said your place was awarded to your family decades ago? di ba when they award a certain piece of land, it comes with a land title? yes given that it’s a military reservation, which legaly means, owned ng military yung property. pero the fact na inaward means, it was given to a private individual na di ba?

have you asked a court for an injunction yet?

Hi Bhang,

I am glad to have you here too.

I am writing this issue hoping to reach the eyes and ears of my fellow blogger and help me remind NOLCOM and the Philippine Government that they are living and earning their salaries out of people’s sweat and perseverance. But recent eventualities and their agendas are clear manifestations that this Government is no longer of the people, by the people and for the people.

I marvel how they can afford to execute this inhumane treatment and yet they still have the face to ask for people’s loyalty. Sometimes, I really marvel for their robotic attitude and yet seeing them in TV kneeling and attending the mass. Is this what they call hypocrisy? I just wonder how can I be proud of this kind of government.

Thanks for a very detailed comment. It really pains me but I’m just counting the days til that dreadful moment that they will push us out of our hard-earned home.
