This post was published last August 16, 2008. It’s been 4 years now since my last visit in this page. I had busy years that I almost abandoned this blog but today, I decided to visit my posts and I was emotional while I was reading my old posts and comments.

Looking at my kid’s photos below, I was amazed how time flies so fast. I used to cuddle my kids in my lap but they are all grown up now. My eldest daughter is already a 3rd year college student at Ateneo taking Accountancy while her siblings are 3rd year & 1st year high school and my son is a grade 3 student.

This blog helped me so much in all my struggles. This is my companion whenever I want to pour out my sorrows and I am very thankful to my readers and blogger friends who are there to share their thoughts and extend their support and prayers. It always cushion the blows and it really mean so much that I have these virtual friends here and eventually, I was able to meet some of them in person as well.

Pinaykeypoint.org took its first root here. When I started blogging with a theme A GLIMPSE TO A PEARL, I just aim to give the the world a glimpse to our nation’s culture, economy, governance, traditions, values and its people. I also want to brag about our natural wealth and beauty. By doing so, I began to attract tourists and they started sending queries about my posts, they also want to meet me in person and some requested me to arrange trips for them. It was so overwhelming that I reached to a point that I have to organize a team to help  me with these activities and the rest is history.

Pinaykeypoint.org now is one of the most respected organization in this field. I read a lot of my clients blogging about us. I have their links posted in my Pinatubo Blog site, www.pinaykeypoint.org 

Blogging indeed is a very rewarding hobby and I really thank God for giving me this gift, for enabling me to write my thoughts, my dreams, my sorrows and happiness that I was able to inspire others to do the same.

As I continue my struggles & journey, I may fail to write on daily basis but I will always take a note so I won’t be able to forget the lessons that I learned from many experiences in this road called life and will try to share it with you guys.

Hello! This is meme, the new member of the family. This is my son’s pet and he’s really fond of meme. He always cuddle it everyday and he even kiss goodnight lol!

My hub bought meme so my son will have something to get busy of especially when his older sisters are in school. This is effective though because since meme came to us, he never disturb me and I really can focus in my work.

This is my hub, Robin. This was taken at the foot of Mount tPinatubo mountain when he cover pictures for Capas Municipal Tourism Trekking Program that was participated by municipal and barangay officials from different barangays. I will discuss some details and picture about that event in my future posts.

This is my eldest daughter Jessica. She’s in her Junior high and very active in school. Yesterday, their group won the dancing competition for different levels. It was their second year of reigning as champion and she’s so happy and giggling while telling me the sequence of events yesterday and asked me to blog it here lol.

Following my steps, she’s also a member of the student council and officers of different clubs.

Sabrina & Rajisha.

Sabrina is in 5th grade while Rajisha in 3rd grade. They are both smart and active. This two is very close buddy and Isha is an active fan of Sabrina while Sabrina is Rajisha’s heroine in her school’s trouble lol. She’s always there to defend her whenever somebody bully her kid sister and nobody will win.

Sabrina has acquired my character, strong like a boy, cautious and will never back out to any fight. Like Jessica, she’s a good dancer too. They won the 2nd place in 32nd Milo Cheerdance competition in our province. I had the details in my previous posts.

We call him Nonoy. Of course spoiled from the attentions of her older sisters, his dad & aunts.

A little monster at times but my therapy when I’m in a bad mood. He knows how to make me laugh and hugs me all the time.

That’s my family. My reason to breath, live and work everyday. Like a typical family in the Philippines, we’ve been into a lot of hardship and we face it all together. I am very transparent to my kids. They know what’s going on. They knows when to pull the belt tighter to make both ends meet.

I am a tough mom, but I am on my weakest when my children are concerned. This year is our hardest year. We’re surviving a lot of financial problems. Of course this has something to do with what is happening in our economy. The Political struggles, the continuous price increase of commodities, tuition fees due to never ending oil price hikes.

Business is bad and client is decreasing. Some of my clients closed their businesses for the same reason.. Bad year. If you will listen to a common family, you will hear the same comment. Many members of middle class families has became poorer this year and we are one of them. If we became poorer, what happen to the poorest among the poor? They are dying of hunger! and yes it’s true. The poverty line has brought many people to illness and those who didn’t survive were already in their grave.

My kids used to study in private school, The Tarlac Montessori School (TMS). Jessica graduated her elementary at TMS and now she’s studying at TSU – Tarlac State University, a public school, though high school student in TSU are strictly selected because it is a science high school. I’m contented with the quality of education that Jessica is receiving now but my 2 younger daughters has different stories.

We were forced to transfer Sabrina & Rajisha to public school this year. I really had a hard time breaking the news to them because I know they will be very disappointed but I was surprised when they hug me and told me that it’s okay. They promised me that they will study well and pray hard to God so they can go back to TMS in the coming years. That made me cry for many nights.

But I am a survivor. All my life has been a series of struggles and I consider this year as one of my hardest fight. My hub and I are struggling to run the business and were making different strategies to win additional clients. I have online work and writing job now and I even accepts $3/article just to have an extra. This is not enough for us but I don’t wanna lose hope and I still continue to see the tiny light at the end of the tunnel. I never blog in the past but I need this now to lessen the burden in my heart. I really have to write this down. Somehow, it made me feel better.

I know it will not be easy for us. It will still a long way off but with my hub and my children around, I know we will survive the cold…
