Happy Birthday Nonoy!

October 26, 2008  –  My son’s Birthday

Today I get up early to finish my online tasks. I have to finish uploading my articles for my employers so I can prepare for my son’s birthday.

Nonoy is my youngest son. His full name is Robin Corpuz Jr., we named him after my hub and he’s our only son. He’s 4 years old today and I cooked his favorite food, spaghetti. We attended mass and went at downtown area to buy his birthday cake. He picked his own choice of cake at Butterworld with spiderman theme. Thank you Isabel, for a very warm accommodation, she is the cashier of Butterworld Tarlac, Tańedo branch.

It’s a family affair with my friend Liza of course. It was like a balloon party and the kids really enjoyed playing around and creating different styles. Thanks to my niece Cherry for the balloons.

Nonoy came to us after 5 years of waiting since the birth of my youngest girl Rajisha who was born on August 16, 1999. I thought we’d never had a baby boy. I knew hub wants a boy who would carry his name so when the doctor said I was positive, he simply uttered “I wish it’s a baby boy while rubbing my womb gently. Finally, when my OB-Gyne scheduled me for ultrasound on my 8th month of pregnancy, she informed us that it was indeed a baby boy. Hub can’t express how he felt that time, we went to church to say thank you and it was really a call for a celebration. We were still working at IWS then and he invited his friends for a simple party.

Some of my friends told me that I will have a hard time and hard labor since its a baby boy but fortunately, it was the easiest delivery I ever had among my first 3 daughters. Nonoy’s scheduled date of delivery was on the first week of November but he arrived earlier. Hub went to work then, he’s on a night shift schedule which starts from 10pm to 6am. My kids were already fast asleep while I was busy on my PC when I felt water in my legs. I thought it was just a pee but I can’t control it. When I went to the bathroom I saw my blood stained undies. I am not the type who easily panics so I called my niece Jane and asked her to call hub at the Plant. My things are already prepared in one corner ready for pick up anytime so I just sit and wait for hub who arrived after 30 minutes. I was rushed to the hospital and the nurse hurriedly prepared me. It was almost midnight then and they asked me to relax and not to push too much because the baby is already coming and my OB was still on her way to the hospital. A few minutes later, I saw Dr. Fredeswinda Santos, my OB-gyne hurriedly wearing her gloves and in 10 minutes, I heard Nonoy crying. She put the bloody little figure in my chest and I had managed to gently rub his hair before I lost my consciousness. According to the nurses assigned, that was one of the fastest and easiest delivery they had 😉 Thanks to you and to Dr. Santos who is my OB with all my pregnancies.

After a year, I decided to file for an early retirement to take care of my kids personally. After 4 years, my son turned to a sweet little boy, who love to mess around, kiss me and cuddle in my lap. He’s a little brat, spoiled by her sisters, dad and aunts.

He’s a monster at times so we bought his pet Meme(guinea pig) to help him control his temper and it was really effective. He’s very fond of Meme and his excitement was added by the birth of Kikay’s 4 cute puppies. My kids named them after their favorite animes; sakichi, ino, jamaxie and hinata.

It was a happy and noisy party with the kids shouting, singing and running around our small house.
